THAG joined  tourism stakeholders and partners on Saturday, November 01st, for the Launch of Tourism Awareness Month 2025 at Baganara Island Resort, held under the theme “Tourism – A Transformational Pillar of Guyana’s Economy.”

The ceremony was attended by the Hon. Susan Rodrigues, Minister of Tourism, Industry & Commerce; Mr Kamrul Baksh, Director of the Guyana Tourism Authority; President of THAG, Mr Mitra Ramkumar; Executives and members of THAG, members of the diplomatic corps; tour operators, guides, influencers, and media representatives.

In his remarks, Mr. Ramkumar reaffirmed THAG’s commitment to public–private collaboration, emphasising tourism’s role in uplifting livelihoods, building inclusion, and strengthening national pride across Guyana.
