THAG Hosts First Members Meeting & Networking Session of 2025

On January 30, THAG held its first Members Meeting & Networking Session for the year at Cara Lodge Hotel, bringing together industry professionals for advocacy updates, new initiatives, and a review of 2024.

THAG's advocacy efforts were summarized by Mrs. Carla Vantull, Executive Member and Head of THAG’s Advocacy Committee. Mrs. Vantull highlighted the recent budget presentation included notable wins, such as funding for airstrip refurbishments and infrastructure projects that enhance connectivity.

Representatives from the Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA) shared insights into available concessions for the sector, while Mr. Kamrul Baksh, Executive Director of the Guyana Tourism Authority (GTA), highlighted the authority’s achievements and vision for 2025.

The event also fostered networking opportunities, allowing new, existing, and potential members to connect, exchange ideas, and explore collaborations. Special thanks to Mr. Ron Glasgow for representing The Centre and emphasizing the Elevate ALL Program, as well as Mr. Petamber Persaud of the Guyana Heritage Society for contributing to this enriching session.
