THAG was proud to join Guyana’s tourism counterparts at World Travel Market (WTM) London 2025, showcasing the very best of Destination Guyana on the global stage.
Representing THAG at this year’s expo was THAG President, Mr. Mitra Ramkumar, who was onsite engaging visitors and industry partners on the diverse tourism experiences, investment opportunities, and cultural richness that Guyana has to offer. This engagement marked another important opportunity for THAG to participate internationally alongside other tourism counterparts such as Wilderness Explorers, Iwokrama, the Guyana High Commission in the United Kingdom, and Travel the Guianas.
THAG extends its appreciation to the Ministry of Tourism, Industry & Commerce and the Guyana Tourism Authority for once again providing the opportunity to be part of the Guyana Booth , proudly promoting Destination Guyana in a unified and collaborative manner.
As part of the booth activations, the team hosted a Rum Tasting and Rum Punch Sampling, featuring two of Guyana’s internationally acclaimed rums: XM Rum from THAG Member Banks DIH Limited, with a special showcase of their 12-, 10-, and 7-year-old blends, alongside El Dorado Rum. Products from THAG Member Garnish Enterprise were also showcased, highlighting Guyanese brands to an international audience.
Beyond the expo, Mr. Ramkumar delivered a presentation titled “Discover Guyana: An Afternoon of Tourism, Culture & Conversation,” presented by THAG and Guyana SPEAKS, at the annual Guyana SPEAKS Bourda Bazaar – Winter Market, hosted at Draper Hall, Elephant and Castle. The session highlighted Guyana’s tourism product, culture, and emerging opportunities, complemented by a selection of local Guyanese snacks for attendees to enjoy.
THAG’s participation at WTM 2025 reaffirmed the Association’s commitment to promoting Brand Guyana, strengthening international partnerships, and supporting member businesses through continued global market engagement.
